  This is a wonderful Christ-centered, traditional Orthodox Church. From the outside, this blue metal-roofed church is unassuming and you might miss it if you're not looking for it, as there is no sign out front yet. They hope to raise funds to install a cross and a small dome eventually.
  Once you step inside the small temple, you are greeted with the beautiful aroma of incense - not the kind found in flea markets and new-age shops - but made from rose oils, frankincense, and myrrh.
  Adorning the walls and iconostasis are hand-painted Byzantine icons of Christ and a multitude of Saints, with lampadas, (traditional olive oil lamps), burning quietly in front of them.
  You won't find any pews inside, as Orthodox Christians worship while standing, the same as they have for 2000 years. Just as someone would stand if the President or a King was in the room, so Orthodox Christians stand in the presence of Christ during the worship service. Of course, there are chairs along the sides and back for the elderly, infirm, or pregnant women, as it's understood that not everyone can stand for longer periods of time.
  The parish is very loving, caring, and accepting. They love seeing new faces and usually try to have a meal after Liturgy to provide everyone with some sustenance.
  If you're looking for a traditional Orthodox Church or just want to experience how ancient Christians worshipped in the first few centuries of the Early Church, St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Church has services every Sunday. Matins starts at 8:30 am, with Divine Liturgy starting at 10 am. Other services throughout the week are announced regularly.
